Intro:

D C# Bm B9 Bb7 F

For the intro Charles Jenkins uses a C# diminished which is pretty hard to
get to from a standard D. For a better transition try using this version (so
that more fingers are on the board at about the right area for the change):

-2- index finger (barring)
-3- middle finger
-2- index finger (barring)
-4- ring finger
-5- pinkie
-x-

Or if that is too difficult still do what I do and just replace the C#
diminished with an F#7 which they use in the chorus and is much easier to
play.

Chorus:

D F#7 Bm B+9 Bb7 F
Feels like it wouldn?t be right if it were wonderful
D F#7 Bm B+9 Bb7 F
Y?know that it wouldn?t be right if it were bountiful

Verse 1:
                 Bb F
You could be the beat of another drum
                 A7 Dm
You could be the song we?ve just begun
                 Bb F
You could be the piece that finally fits
                 A7 Dm (extend)
You could be the glue for the broken bits

Repeat Chorus

Verse 2:
                 Bb F
You could be the tip that makes it sure
               A7 Dm
Unlike all the bets you?ve placed before
                   Bb F
You could use your literary first
                A7 Dm*
To try to cover up this third rate verse

M/8:
Dm* Dm/C
Make it right
        G/B F
Make it clear, every night
                   A7
Now that you?re ne?ee-ear

Solo? (if anyone REALLY wants this drop me an email and I?ll see what I can
do)

Verse 3:
                 Bb F
You could be the sleight of hand to play
                 A7 Dm
When every other card has slipped away
                 Bb F
You could be the one that makes it two
                   A7 Dm
Brings on three of four like these things do
                 Bb F
You could be the only one to know
             A7 Dm
Ain?t nobody else going to come or go

Repeat Chorus
               Bb F
And if it were wonder-ful
               Bb F Fm
And if it were bounti-ful

End on D
