There are broken birds scattered over the white cliffs of Dover Am C Once I read and so I thought Em (Firstly the red dragon rises in the east) Am C So I sat and still I thought Em (Then the white dragon rises from the north) Am C I start to walk and my mind turns Em (Out of clouds a smoke-ish dragon rises from the west) Am C It seems to me the world is dying Em (Smiling teeth and black dragon rising in the south) Am C Whilst rosy stars fall from heaven Em (Turn to starry roses in greening grasses) Am C Burnt burning smiles lovers' tokens Em (Soft white breasts unveiling nature) Am C My mother sighs my father lies Em (With scattered pebbles and dying horses) Am C The moon is violent violent and vaporous Em (Seas of horses buildings tumble) Am C Once I read and so I thought Em (Firstly the red dragon rises in the east) Am C We shall move and still I'll think Em (Then the white dragon rises from the north) Am C All this world is such a bind Em (Out of clouds a smoke-ish dragon from the west) Am C It seems to me people smile Em (Smiling teeth and black dragon rising in the south) Am C Whilst rosy stars fall from heaven Em (Turn to starry roses in greening grasses) Am C Burnt burning smiles lovers' tokens Em (Soft white breasts unveiling nature) Am C My mother sighs my father lies Em (Scattered pebbles the world falls) Am C The moon is violent violent and vaporous Em (Seas of horses part for me)
