Wild Roan Brumby

[Intro ]
|Dm |C |Dm |C |

[Verso 1]

            C Am
I've got a horse nobody wanted,
         F C
Nobbly knees, a coat full of burs,
             C Am
The old man said, "Just watch him sunny,
         Dm G
Ride him out, but don't wear your spurs,"

      C Am
That day seems like ancient history,
                F C
His head stayed up, So did mine,
            C Am
I wear my spurs now for decoration,
            F C
He tethers well with a bail and twine,

[Refrão]

       F C
I may never win a buckle,
           Am G
Or ride a horse with a good bloodline,
           Dm C
but I was born to sit the saddle,
         Dm C
on that Wild Roan Brumby of mine,

[Verso 2]

            C Am
I hit the track to make a quick buck,
                F C
Set young and proud, 16 hands,
                C Am
I learned real quick, that slow and steady,
               Dm G
but leave you lying there in the sand,
   C Am
Of all the horses that I've gathered,
           F C
one stands out above the rest,
            C Am
There's no nag that I'd rather saddle,
                   F C
Than the mountain roan that I love the best,

[Refrão]

       F C
I may never win a buckle,
           Am G
Or ride a horse with a good bloodline,
           Dm C
but I was born to sit the saddle,
         Dm C
on that Wild Roan Brumby of mine,

[Verso 3]

         C Am
Whats a buckle when you want it,
        F C
But to make yourself feel proud,
      C Am
That roan and I've worked magic,
          Dm G
with no glory and no roaring crowd,

              C Am
When he grows old and grey and tired,
              F C
I'll turn him out by the homestead yard,
           C am
Spend his days just out there grazing,
       F C
Never more to work so hard,

[Refrão]

       F C
I may never win a buckle,
           Am G
Or ride a horse with a good bloodline,
           Dm C
but I was born to sit the saddle,
         Dm C
on that Wild Roan Brumby of mine,

       [F] [C]
I may never win a buckle,
           [Am] [G]
Or ride a horse with a good bloodline,
           Dm C
but I was born to sit the saddle,
         Dm C
on that Wild Roan Brumby of mine,
