My Friend Michael

Intro:
G D Em C

[Verso 1]

G D
Hey Michael, by that crooked tree,
Em C
Near the witchs house where we felt free.
G D
Its twisted limbs, our carved-out names,
Em C
Two wild hearts playing fearless games.

[Verso 2]

G D
The old man chasing down the lane,
Em C
Through dust and wind and summer rain.
G D
Wed laugh and run, too fast to catch,
C D G
Leaving the world without a scratch.

[Refrão]

G D
Oh memories of yesterday,
D Em
Still warm my heart in every way.
Em C
With joy and love Im drifting through,
C D G
Those golden days, my friend, with you.

G D Em C

[Verso 3]

G D
The road to school, just me and you,
Em C
Morning light and skies so blue.
G D
Every step and every mile,
C D G
Felt lighter with your easy smile.

Those golden days, my friend, with you.

[Verso 4]

G D
Down in Wischkes muddy ground,
Em C
Where childhood dreams were always found.
G D
Boots in the bog, eyes on the sky,
C D G
We thought our summerd never die.
