[Verso 1]

C G Am Gm F G C
When I was a child I was taught how the Bible was God's in-fall-ible word
C G Am
That he had inspired every line that
                  D G
was written, so his voice could be heard
 E Am
But now folks are saying there's a new
    Am E Am C
way of thinking, the Bible is not real
         F C Am
well, friend if you're needing some interpretation,
             G C F
Listen and I'll bend your ear

{Chrous}
F
Whosoever ever means whosoever,
F C
live forever means we're never gonna die
             F
Forsake us never means that he will never leave us
D G
Reign forever means he'll always be the king who rules on high
     C
No never means our sins are not remembered
                                            F
a living Savior means that he's no longer dead
F D
The Father changes never,
      C Am G C
the Bible will forever mean just what it says

[Verso 2]

C# G# A#m
I know that I'm not the smartest
            F# G# C#
of people you've been privileged to meet
            G# A#m D# G#
I tend to think this life is as simple as we make it out to be
F A#m
That the faith of a child, and the love of the Savior
       F A#m
will open Heavens Gate
          F# C# A#m
And that God in his goodness gave a simple Gospel,
G# C#
he even wrote it down that way
