[Verso 1]

He knew Jesus, knew His power, walked beside him day and A

night
        D A G A D
Saw the blind man brought from darkness, saw the dead man brought to life
Bm G D Bm A
But he somehow missed the mercy when he needed it the most
Bm G D G C A D
And as he stood before that hanging tree, I wonder why he didn't know

             G D A
There was forgiveness, but he chose silver over streets of gold
                   D Bm
Still, Jesus loved him and would have saved his troubled soul
                    G A D
All he he to do was ask, but that's what Judas didn't know

Bm D A G D
I know Jesus walks beside me, and when I stumble it breaks his heart
Bm D A D A D
But still he loves me, and when I come clean, I find myself in the safety of
his arms
Bm G D Bm G A
But the saddest thing I know of, is when God's children turn away
         Bm D
from the grace that they've been given
 G C A
Just like Judas did that day

             G D A
There was forgiveness, but he chose silver over streets of gold
                   D Bm
Still, Jesus loved him and would have saved his troubled soul
                    G A D
All he he to do was ask, but that's what Judas didn't know

                    G A D
All he he to do was ask, but that's what Judas didn't know
