Beast - Creature

Intro
Dm Fsus2 Am Bbsus2 x2

[Verso 1]

                    Dm
He came to me a beast, a mythical monstrosity I saw
         Fsus2
Standing eminently aft, Adonis built of fur and claw
    Am Bbsus2
Id say on that day, the sun itself begot him as a wolf
       Dm
In a field of golden grain, body glistening in white
     Fsus2
Inconceivable, his size, nor the brightness of his eyes
    Am Bbsus2
But O! From the mountains I could see, and new feelings came to me

{Instrumental}
Dm Fsus2 Am Bbsus2 x6

[Verso 2]

                  Dm
I came to him a creature, a beaten brownish rodent at his feet
          Fsus2
I gave a kiss, grotesquely splayed before his blinding effigy
    Am Bbsus2
I writhed, in waiting in the dirt, I waited for his word
           Dm
I felt so weak, so disgusting as I wpt upon his knees
         Fsus2
I could sense the old contmpt I had assumed this wolf would feel
    Am Bbsus2
But O, There! Came his paws, the wolf took hold and carried me away

{Instrumental}
Dm Fsus2 Am Bbsus2 x4

[Ponte]

      Dm Fsus2
The bread breaks, across my back so gently, between the cracks
     Am Bbsus2
I kneel with a saucerful of milk between my legs
       Dm Fsus2 Am
I was starving, all my life for something I hadnt ever known
                         Bbsus2
Before I tasted what you served upon your fur

[Verso 3]

                  Dm
You came to me a beast, I came to you a creature
                       Fsus2
I asked you what it means, you promised me a leader
                        Am
I dont understand it either, I dont understand it either
              Bbsus2 Dm
But when you called me yours, it felt real
             Fsus2
Oh, it felt real
             Am Bbsus2
Oh, it felt reeeeeeeeeeal
