F# Em D F# After three days passed the mist had cleared the sky was clear and bright, F# Em D F# She took her sister in her arms and bid the man goodbye F# Em D F# She ran back through the forest saw no soldiers nor no thieves, F# Em D Em F# Till she found herself back up at the shack by the sea D F# But when she flung her arms around her mother she shed tears F# Em D Em F# For the woman stood before her was blind and aged by thirty years F# Em D F# She said "Oh my darling Ida, my wait is at an end, F# Em D Em F# As this rose bush grew I prayed each day that we would meet again", D F# So they sat out in the evening and the sun shone all around F# Em D Em F# Till early the next morning when their bodies were found.
